Indian Almond Leaves - Terminalia Catappa

Terminalia catappa is a species of a tropical tree that grows in Asia. It is believed that by placing Indian almond leaves in
the aquarium it will improve the health of the fish, reduce the presence of fungus, improve the immune system, and help with skin
problems.
The leaves are rich with tannins and chemicals and have been used by Betta breeders in Thailand for many years. They are also
being used for conditioning the betta's water for breeding and hardening of the scales.
As the organic material of the leaf is decomposed by beneficial fungi and bacteria it also releases minerals. This is an
ideal environment for infusoria which shrimp and fry enjoy eating.
The leaves can also be used to lower the PH and reduce heavy metals in the water.
Our almond leaves are of the best quality, approximately 8 inches in size.
